ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Kelly, a counsellor based in Hertford. I support adults who struggle with self-esteem, anxiety, boundary challenges, or people-pleasing. You might find yourself putting others first, second-guessing your needs, or worrying about getting things wrong. These patterns can feel hard to shift alone, but counselling can help you feel more grounded, confident, and in touch with your own needs.
Some people come with a clear reason for seeking support, while others arrive feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. Whatever brings you, we work at a pace that feels right, with care, curiosity, and respect.
I also have experience in bereavement and perinatal mental health. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to support you as you make sense of your experiences and find a way forward that feels right for you.
HOW CAN Person-Centred
THERAPY HELP YOU?
Person-centred therapy is a humanistic approach that focuses on your potential for growth, self-understanding, and personal choice. Rather than analysing unconscious thoughts, it centres on how you consciously experience and understand yourself.
This approach is based on the belief that you have the capacity to find your own answers and make choices that feel right for you. In therapy, you are considered the expert on your own life, and your autonomy and personal values guide the process.
Working with a person-centred therapist can help you:
Gain clarity about who you are and what matters to you
Feel more confident in your decisions and boundaries
Explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe, non-judgmental space
Move towards the person you want to be, free from external pressures
Person-centred therapy offers a supportive environment for self-discovery, growth, and building confidence in yourself and your choices.
